The Last Days, Were The Last Days Of The Age Of The Law

The last days began on the day of Pentecost and ended when the temple was destroyed in 70AD, we are not in the last days.

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say, “we are in the last days, so the gospel needs to be preached to everyone on the planet, and then God will destroy the planet by fire”, that teaching doesn’t agree with the truth that is in the Greek New Testament.

The English New Testament comes from the Greek New Testament, if the English New Testament does not agree with what the Greek New Testament says, then it is not the truth. There are words in the English New Testament that have been translated wrong, and because of that wrong translation, people have been led to believe things that are false, that is the case with Matt 24:14, Titus 2:13 & 2 Peter 3:7.

In Acts 2:16-36 the Apostles start preaching the gospel to the Jews and then later in the book of Acts the gospel is preached to the Roman world, once the gospel was preached to the Roman world, the end of the age happened.

The term “last days” in the New Testament is referring to the time period between the time that the gospel was preached and the end of the age of the law.

Acts 2:16 – But [instead] this is [the beginning of] what was spoken through the prophet Joel:

Acts 2:17 – And it shall come to pass in the last days, God declares, that I will pour out of My Spirit upon all mankind [upon all who are chosen by God], and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely granted appearances), and your old men shall dream [divinely suggested] dreams.

Acts 2:18 – Yes, and on My menservants also and on My maidservants in those days I will pour out of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels and predicting future events pertaining especially to God’s kingdom].

Acts 2:19 – And I will show wonders in the sky above and signs on the earth beneath, blood and fire and smoking vapor;

Acts 2:20 – The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the obvious day of the Lord comes–that great and notable {and} conspicuous and renowned [day].

Acts 2:21 – And it shall be that whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord [invoking, adoring, and worshiping the Lord–Christ] shall be saved.

Acts 2:22 – You men of Israel, listen to what I have to say: Eashoa of Nazareth, a man accredited {and} pointed out {and} shown forth {and} commended {and} attested to you by God by the mighty works and [the power of performing] wonders and signs which God worked through him [right] in your midst, as you yourselves know–

Acts 2:23 – This Eashoa, when delivered up according to the definite {and} fixed purpose {and} settled plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified {and} put out of the way [killing him] by the hands of lawless {and} wicked men.

Acts 2:24 – [But] God raised him up, liberating him from the pangs of death, seeing that it was not possible for him to continue to be controlled {or} retained by it.

Acts 2:25 – For David says in regard to him, I saw the Lord constantly before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken {or} overthrown {or} cast down [from my secure and happy state].

Acts 2:26 – Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted exceedingly; moreover, my flesh also will dwell in hope [will encamp, pitch its tent, and dwell in hope in anticipation of the resurrection].

Acts 2:27 – For You will not abandon my soul, leaving it helpless in Hades (the state of departed spirits), nor let Your holy One know decay {or} see destruction [of the body after death].

Acts 2:28 – You have made known to me the ways of life; You will enrapture me [diffusing my soul with joy] with {and} in Your presence.

Acts 2:29 – Brethren, it is permitted me to tell you confidently {and} with freedom concerning the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

Acts 2:30 – Being however a prophet, and knowing that God had sealed to him with an oath that He would set one of his descendants on his throne, [II Sam. 7:12-16; Ps. 132:11.]

Acts 2:31 – He, foreseeing this, spoke [by foreknowledge] of the resurrection of the Christ (Eashoa the Messiah) that he was not deserted [in death] {and} left in Hades (the state of departed spirits), nor did his body know decay {or} see destruction.

Acts 2:32 – This Eashoa, God raised up, and of that all we [his disciples] are witnesses.

Acts 2:33 – Being therefore lifted high by {and} to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promised [blessing which is the] Holy Spirit, He has made this outpouring which you yourselves both see and hear.

Acts 2:34 – For David did not ascend into the heavens; yet he himself says, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand {and} share My throne.

Acts 2:35 – Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.

Acts 2:36 – Therefore let the whole house of Israel recognize beyond all doubt {and} acknowledge assuredly that God has made him both Lord and Christ (the Messiah)–this Eashoa whom you crucified.

The “day of the Lord” that is spoken of in Acts 2:20 is the Lord’s judgement that the Messiah said would happen after the tribulation that is mentioned in Matt 24:21, that judgement happened in 70AD after Jerusalem was destroyed.

The gospel had to be preached to the Jews and to the Roman world and then the end of the age would happen, that’s what Matthew 24:14 in the Greek text says. The age that ended is the age of the law, that age ended when the temple was destroyed in 70AD.

The last days began on the day of Pentecost and ended when the temple was destroyed in 70AD, we are not in the last days.

The gospel was preached to every creature under heaven by the time that the book of Colossians was written, that means that everything in Matt 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21:5-33 has already happened.

Matt 24:14 – And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the Roman world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end of the age come.

Col 1:23 – If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say, “we are in the last days, so the gospel needs to be preached to everyone on the planet, and then God will destroy the planet by fire”, that teaching doesn’t agree with the truth that is in the Greek New Testament.

There are words in the English New Testament that have been translated wrong, and because of that wrong translation, people have been led to believe things that are false, that is the case with Matt 24:14, Titus 2:13 & 2 Peter 3:7.

Here is a link to my post that will show that the English New Testament translated Titus 2:13 wrong, and because of that wrong translation, people have been led to believe something false about that verse https://bornfromabove7.wordpress.com/2014/08/29/the-english-bible-isnt-the-true-word-of-god/

We are not in the last days.

The teaching that says, “the day of the Lord is still to come” is false.
The teaching that says, “the tribulation is still to come” is false.
The teaching that says, “we are in the last days” is false.

The teaching that says, “the gospel has to be preached to everyone on the planet and then the planet will be destroyed” is false.

A Christian is someone that is led by the Holy Spirit, no one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say, “we are in the last days”, or say, “the gospel has to be preached to everyone on the planet, and then the planet will be destroyed by fire”, or say, “the tribulation and day of the Lord are still to come”, because that doesn’t agree with the truth that is written in the Bible. No one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say something that does not agree with the truth that is written in the Bible.

If someone claims to be Christian and says something that is not true, the person is not led by the Holy Spirit, the person is led by the flesh, those who are led by the flesh are not the children of God.

Romans 8:14 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God [the Holy Spirit], they are the children of God.

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say it is ok for there to be different denominations in the church, that it is ok for a Christian to believe something different than what another Christian believes, but the Bible does not support different denominations in the church, 1 Corinthians 1:10 says that the church is supposed to believe the same thing.

1 Cor. 1:10 – But I urge {and} entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Eashoa the Messiah, that all of you be in perfect harmony {and} full agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissensions {or} factions {or} divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and in your opinions {and} judgments.

The term “last days” in the bible is referring to the time period between the time that the gospel was preached & the end of the age of the law, once the age of the law ended, the new age began, that age is the born of the Spirit age.

The age of the law ended in AD 70 when the temple was destroyed, instead of the temple being physical, now the temple is the body of those of whom the Holy Spirit lives in. The Mosaic age, the age of the law was physical, while the new age is spiritual.

God, by the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Christ), lives in the temple (the body) of those who are born of the Spirit.

1 Cor 3:16 – Do you not know that you are a temple of God and {that} the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Christ is reigning on earth by the Holy Spirit that dwells in those who are born of the Spirit, the born of the Spirit age is the new world that God created that is spoken of in the New Testament, the new world is a spiritual world, not a physical world.

I was born of the Spirit 19 years ago, but for 18 of those years God allowed me to be deceived by false teaching, almost everything that I was taught during those 18 years by everyone that claimed to be Christian has turned out to be false.

For 18 years I believed Matthew 24 is about the end of the planet, but after further study of Matthew 24 it’s very clear that Matthew 24 is not talking about the end of the planet, whomever translated the New Testament from Greek to English did not translate many verses correctly, and due to the wrong translation people have been led to believe something that is false.

Based on the incorrect translation of Matthew 24:14, many people have been led to believe that the gospel has to be preached to everyone on the planet and then the end of the planet will happen, but in Greek that is not what Matthew 24:14 is saying, here is a link to my post that will show why Matthew 24 is not talking about the end of the planet https://bornfromabove7.wordpress.com/2014/09/17/matt-24-isnt-about-the-end-of-the-planet/

In the world today there are many people who claim to be Christian that say, “we are in the last days”, but the Bible does not agree with that teaching.

Hebrews 1:2 confirms the truth that the Apostles were in the last days, we are not in the last days, the New Testament wasn’t written about our time period. The word “us” in Heb 1:2 is referring to the people who were born of the Spirit that were alive during the time that the epistle to the Hebrews was written.

Heb 1:2 – [God] in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.

The term “last days” is referring to the time period between the time that the gospel was preached & the end of the age of the law. The age of the law ended when the temple was destroyed in 70AD, after the temple was destroyed, the new age began, that age is the born of the Spirit age.

The temple that God dwells in now is the body of all who are born of the Spirit (1 Cor. 3:16). All who are born of the Spirit, see the kingdom of God (John 3:3), and enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5), the kingdom of God is inside those who are born of the Spirit, the kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom, not a physical kingdom.

Jn 3:3 – Christ answered and said to Nicodemus, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born from above [born of the Spirit] he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Jn 3:5 – Christ answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit [born of the Spirit] he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

Christ’s kingdom is God’s kingdom, Christ’s throne is God’s throne, Christ is reigning in all who are born of the Spirit, the kingdom of God is here now, it is not a future event, all who believe God’s Son, Yeshua is the Messiah that no longer practice sin are born of the Spirit (1 John 3:9, 1 John 5:1 & 1 John 5:18).

1 Jn 5:1 – Everyone who believes Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God [born of the Spirit].

1 Jn 3:9 – No one born of God practices sin, because His seed [the Holy Spirit] abides in him or her; and he or she cannot sin, because he or she is born of God [born of the Spirit].

1 Jn 5:18 – We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God [born of the Spirit] does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over {and} protects him [Christ’s divine presence (the Holy Spirit) within him who is born of God preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one [the spirit of the natural man] does not lay hold (get a grip) on him {or} touch [him].

A Christian is someone who is led by the Holy Spirit, no one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say,”we are in the last days”, because that doesn’t agree with what the Bible says. No one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say something that doesn’t agree with what the Bible says.

If someone claims to be Christian and says something that doesn’t agree with the truth that is written in the Bible, the person is not led by the Holy Spirit, the person is led by the flesh, those who are led by the flesh are not the children of God.

Romans 8:14 – For all who are led by the Spirit of God [the Holy Spirit] are the children of God.

In the world today there are many people who claim to be Christian that say it is ok for there to be different denominations in the church, that it is ok for a Christian to believe something different from what another Christian believes, but the Bible does not support different denominations in the church, 1 Corinthians 1:10 says that the church is supposed to believe the same thing.

1 Cor. 1:10 – But I urge {and} entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that all of you be in perfect harmony {and} full agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissensions {or} factions {or} divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and in your opinions {and} judgments.
