The last days began on the day of Pentecost and ended when the temple was destroyed in 70AD, we are not in the last days.
In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say, “we are in the last days, so the gospel needs to be preached to everyone on the planet, and then God will destroy the planet by fire”, that teaching doesn’t agree with the truth that is in the Greek New Testament.
The English New Testament comes from the Greek New Testament, if the English New Testament does not agree with what the Greek New Testament says, then it is not the truth. There are words in the English New Testament that have been translated wrong, and because of that wrong translation, people have been led to believe things that are false, that is the case with Matt 24:14, Titus 2:13 & 2 Peter 3:7.
In Acts 2:16-36 the Apostles start preaching the gospel to the Jews and then later in the book of Acts the gospel is preached to the Roman world, once the gospel was preached to the Roman world, the end of the age happened.
The term “last days” in the New Testament is referring to the time period between the time that the gospel was preached and the end of the age of the law.
Acts 2:16 – But [instead] this is [the beginning of] what was spoken through the prophet Joel:
Acts 2:17 – And it shall come to pass in the last days, God declares, that I will pour out of My Spirit upon all mankind [upon all who are chosen by God], and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely granted appearances), and your old men shall dream [divinely suggested] dreams.
Acts 2:18 – Yes, and on My menservants also and on My maidservants in those days I will pour out of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels and predicting future events pertaining especially to God’s kingdom].
Acts 2:19 – And I will show wonders in the sky above and signs on the earth beneath, blood and fire and smoking vapor;
Acts 2:20 – The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the obvious day of the Lord comes–that great and notable {and} conspicuous and renowned [day].
Acts 2:21 – And it shall be that whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord [invoking, adoring, and worshiping the Lord–Christ] shall be saved.
Acts 2:22 – You men of Israel, listen to what I have to say: Eashoa of Nazareth, a man accredited {and} pointed out {and} shown forth {and} commended {and} attested to you by God by the mighty works and [the power of performing] wonders and signs which God worked through him [right] in your midst, as you yourselves know–
Acts 2:23 – This Eashoa, when delivered up according to the definite {and} fixed purpose {and} settled plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified {and} put out of the way [killing him] by the hands of lawless {and} wicked men.
Acts 2:24 – [But] God raised him up, liberating him from the pangs of death, seeing that it was not possible for him to continue to be controlled {or} retained by it.
Acts 2:25 – For David says in regard to him, I saw the Lord constantly before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken {or} overthrown {or} cast down [from my secure and happy state].
Acts 2:26 – Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted exceedingly; moreover, my flesh also will dwell in hope [will encamp, pitch its tent, and dwell in hope in anticipation of the resurrection].
Acts 2:27 – For You will not abandon my soul, leaving it helpless in Hades (the state of departed spirits), nor let Your holy One know decay {or} see destruction [of the body after death].
Acts 2:28 – You have made known to me the ways of life; You will enrapture me [diffusing my soul with joy] with {and} in Your presence.
Acts 2:29 – Brethren, it is permitted me to tell you confidently {and} with freedom concerning the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
Acts 2:30 – Being however a prophet, and knowing that God had sealed to him with an oath that He would set one of his descendants on his throne, [II Sam. 7:12-16; Ps. 132:11.]
Acts 2:31 – He, foreseeing this, spoke [by foreknowledge] of the resurrection of the Christ (Eashoa the Messiah) that he was not deserted [in death] {and} left in Hades (the state of departed spirits), nor did his body know decay {or} see destruction.
Acts 2:32 – This Eashoa, God raised up, and of that all we [his disciples] are witnesses.
Acts 2:33 – Being therefore lifted high by {and} to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promised [blessing which is the] Holy Spirit, He has made this outpouring which you yourselves both see and hear.
Acts 2:34 – For David did not ascend into the heavens; yet he himself says, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand {and} share My throne.
Acts 2:35 – Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.
Acts 2:36 – Therefore let the whole house of Israel recognize beyond all doubt {and} acknowledge assuredly that God has made him both Lord and Christ (the Messiah)–this Eashoa whom you crucified.
The “day of the Lord” that is spoken of in Acts 2:20 is the Lord’s judgement that the Messiah said would happen after the tribulation that is mentioned in Matt 24:21, that judgement happened in 70AD after Jerusalem was destroyed.
The gospel had to be preached to the Jews and to the Roman world and then the end of the age would happen, that’s what Matthew 24:14 in the Greek text says. The age that ended is the age of the law, that age ended when the temple was destroyed in 70AD.

Col 1:23 – If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

We are not in the last days.
The teaching that says, “the day of the Lord is still to come” is false.
The teaching that says, “the tribulation is still to come” is false.
The teaching that says, “we are in the last days” is false.
The teaching that says, “the gospel has to be preached to everyone on the planet and then the planet will be destroyed” is false.
A Christian is someone that is led by the Holy Spirit, no one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say, “we are in the last days”, or say, “the gospel has to be preached to everyone on the planet, and then the planet will be destroyed by fire”, or say, “the tribulation and day of the Lord are still to come”, because that doesn’t agree with the truth that is written in the Bible. No one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say something that does not agree with the truth that is written in the Bible.
If someone claims to be Christian and says something that is not true, the person is not led by the Holy Spirit, the person is led by the flesh, those who are led by the flesh are not the children of God.
Romans 8:14 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God [the Holy Spirit], they are the children of God.
In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say it is ok for there to be different denominations in the church, that it is ok for a Christian to believe something different than what another Christian believes, but the Bible does not support different denominations in the church, 1 Corinthians 1:10 says that the church is supposed to believe the same thing.
1 Cor. 1:10 – But I urge {and} entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Eashoa the Messiah, that all of you be in perfect harmony {and} full agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissensions {or} factions {or} divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and in your opinions {and} judgments.
