A Christian Doesn’t Believe The English Bible Is 100% True

Many say the King James is 100% truth, but that isn’t true, no English Bible is 100% truth, words have been changed, Titus 2:13 in the King James doesn’t have the same meaning as Titus 2:13 in the Greek text.

The King James New Testament comes from the Greek text the Textus Receptus, in the King James New Testament some words do not agree with the words that are in the Textus Receptus.

The only English New Testament that comes from the Textus Receptus is the King James, all other English New Testaments come from a Greek text by Westcott & Hort, the W&H has removed many verses that are in the Textus Receptus, which means that the 2 Greek texts are not the same. The TR was written before the W&H, here is a link to my post that will show a verse that is in the TR, but is not in the W&H https://bornfromabove7.wordpress.com/2014/09/06/there-are-2-greek-texts-that-the-english-new-testament-comes-from/

In Titus 2:13, the King James says “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

But the Textus Receptus says, “awaiting the appearing of the glory of.” The King James changes the noun “glory” to the adjective “glorious” to have it modify the word “appearing.”

This completely changes the meaning of the passage from believers eagerly awaiting the appearing of the glory of our God and Savior, to believers eagerly awaiting the glorious appearing of our God and Savior. One translation has us waiting for the glory; the other has us waiting for God.

Titus 2:13 English translation of the Textus Receptus – awaiting the blessed hope, and appearing of the glory of the Great God and the Saviour of us, Christ Iesou (Yaysoo).

Titus 2:13 King James – Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

If we compare Titus 1:4 to Titus 2:13 we can see that Titus 2:13 is not saying Christ is God, and Matthew 16:27 makes it very clear that Christ is not God.

Titus 1:4 – To Titus, my true child in a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Yeshua our Savior.

Matt 16:27 King James – For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

There are many that say the King James is the true word of God, but that isn’t true, no English Bible is 100% truth, words have been changed, Titus 2:13 in the King James doesn’t have the same meaning as Titus 2:13 in the Greek text.

A Christian is someone that is led by the Holy Spirit, no one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say, “the English Bible is 100% true”, because that is not true. No one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say something that is not true.

Every English Bible has errors in it,  God made that happen so that His people, those who are born of the Holy Spirit will be able to see, when someone that claims to be led by the Holy Spirit is speaking truth, or speaking false.

John 16:13 – But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth.

If someone claims to be Christian and says something that is not true, the person is not led by the Holy Spirit, the person is led by the flesh, those who are led by the flesh are not the children of God.

Romans 8:14 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God [the Holy Spirit], they are the children of God.

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say it is ok for there to be different denominations in the church, that it is ok for a Christian to believe something different than what another Christian believes, but the Bible does not support different denominations in the church, 1 Corinthians 1:10 says that the church is supposed to believe the same thing.

1 Cor. 1:10 – But I urge {and} entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that all of you be in perfect harmony {and} full agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissensions {or} factions {or} divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and in your opinions {and} judgments.
