A Christian Believes Romans 10:9 Is A Word For The Church

If the saying, “confess with your mouth Yeshua is Lord, & you will be saved”, is true, then how can someone who cannot speak be saved? Clearly Romans 10:9 isn’t talking about how someone becomes born from above, it’s talking about someone who God has already sealed with the Holy Spirit, it’s only by having the gift of the Holy Spirit that someone can confess Yeshua is Lord & believe from the heart God raised Yeshua from the dead.

Romans 10:9 is not a confession that leads to salvation, there is nothing anyone can say or do to be saved, Ephesians 2:8 confirms that truth.

Romans 10:9 is a declaration confirming a person is already born of the Spirit.

During the time that Paul wrote the Book of Romans, God’s people were being put to death for publicly denying Caesar is lord & declaring Yeshua is Lord, therefore in context, what Paul is saying is, if you confess with your mouth “Yeshua is Lord & believe from the heart that God raised Yeshua from the dead”, that when it comes time for you to die for denying Caesar is lord & declare Yeshua is Lord, you will be saved.”

In Romans 10:9, Paul is confirming how someone will know they are already born of the Spirit, he is not saying how someone becomes born of the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:8 -9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith [God’s divine persuasion] and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.

The Greek word for the word “faith” in Ephesians 2:8 is “pistis”, “pistis” means, “be persuaded”. “Faith is always a gift from God, & never something that can be produced by people. In short “pistis” (“faith”) for the believer is ‘God’s divine persuasion’.”

1 John 5:1 – Whosoever believes that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God [born of the Spirit].

1 John 3:9 – No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed [the Holy Spirit] abides in him or her; and he or she cannot sin, because he or she is born of God [born of the Spirit].

1 John 5:18 – We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God [born of the Spirit] does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over {and} protects him [Christ’s divine presence (the Holy Spirit) within him who is born of God preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one [the spirit of the natural man] does not lay hold (get a grip) on him {or} touch [him].

A Christian is someone that is led by the Holy Spirit, no one led by the Holy Spirit will every say, “a person has to say a prayer to be born of the Spirit”, because that is not what God had His Son teach, no one led by the Spirit will ever say something that does not agree with the teaching of the Messiah.

The teaching that says, “say the sinner’s prayer, and you will be born of the Spirit” is false.

No one has to say anything to be born of the Spirit (John 3:8)

John 3:8 – The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound,  but cannot tell where it comes  from or where it is going, so it is with everyone born of the Spirit. – Yeshua the Messiah

John 6:65 – no one can come to me (the Messiah) unless it is granted him (unless he is enabled to do so) by the Father.

1 Timothy 6:3 – if anyone teaches otherwise and does not assent to the sound {and} wholesome messages of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah and the teaching which is in agreement with godliness (piety toward God),

1 Timothy 6:4 – He is puffed up with pride {and} stupefied with conceit, [although he is] woefully ignorant. He has a morbid fondness for controversy and disputes {and} strife about words, which result in (produce) envy {and} jealousy, quarrels {and} dissension, abuse {and} insults {and} slander, and base suspicions,

1 Timothy 6:5 – And protracted wrangling {and} wearing discussion {and} perpetual friction among men who are corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth, who imagine that godliness {or} righteousness is a source of profit [a moneymaking business, a means of livelihood]. {From such withdraw.}

Romans 16:17 – I appeal to you, brethren, to be on your guard concerning those who create dissensions and difficulties {and} cause divisions, in opposition to the doctrine (the teaching) which you have been taught. [I warn you to turn aside from them, to] avoid them.

Romans 16:18 – For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites {and} base desires, and by ingratiating and flattering speech, they beguile the hearts of the unsuspecting {and} simpleminded [people].

2 John 1:9 – Anyone who runs on ahead [of God] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ [who is not content with what he taught] does not have God; but he who continues to live in the doctrine (teaching) of Christ [does have God], he has both the Father and the Son.

2 John 1:10 – If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine [is disloyal to what Yeshua the Messiah taught], do not receive him [do not accept him, do not welcome or admit him] into [your] house or bid him Godspeed {or} give him any encouragement.

2 John 1:11 – For he who wishes him success [who encourages him, wishing him Godspeed] is a partaker in his evil doings.

If someone claims to be Christian and says something that does not agree with what the Messiah taught, the person is not led by the Holy Spirit, the person is led by the flesh, those who are led by the flesh are not the children of God.

Romans 8:14 – For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say it is ok for there to be different denominations in the church, that it is ok for a Christian to believe something different than what another Christian believes, but the Bible does not support different denominations in the church, 1 Corinthians 1:10 says that the church is supposed to believe the same thing.

1 Cor. 1:10 – But I urge {and} entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that all of you be in perfect harmony {and} full agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissensions {or} factions {or} divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and in your opinions {and} judgments.
