1 Jn 2:26-27 These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. As for you, the anointing [the Holy Spirit] which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.
I was born of the Spirit 19yrs ago, but for 18 of those yrs God allowed me to be deceived by false teaching, for 18yrs I was taught by everyone that claimed to be Christian that I had to go to a church that taught the bible, they would say, “make sure you find a bible believing church”.
And because of that false teaching I was led to believe that the Pastor was my teacher, and because he claimed to be Christian I believed that he was teaching the truth, well, it turns out that everything that I was taught during those 18yrs by those that claim to be Christian has turned out to be false.
The truth is, the New Testament never says those who are born of the Spirit have to go to church to hear the truth, 1 Jn 2:27 says those who are born of the Spirit do not need to be taught by anyone, that the Holy Spirit is the teacher, not man.
I wonder why the majority of people that claim to be Christian don’t speak the truth that is written in 1 John 2:27, could it be because their afraid that their church would lose a lot of money because people would stop going to their church, if they knew that they did not have to go to church to hear the truth?
The flesh is very clever and very deceiving, but thank God for the Holy Spirit that guides those who are born of the Spirit into all the truth (John 16:13).

John 16:13 when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you [those who are born of the Spirit] into all the truth. – Yeshua the Messiah
