Rev 11:2 Proves Revelation Was Written Before AD 70

Rev 11:2 Leave out the court which is outside the temple & don’t measure it, for it has been given to the nations; & they will tread under foot the holy city (Jerusalem) for 42 months. Rev 11:2 is talking about the destruction of Jerusalem before Jerusalem was destroyed, Rev 11:2 proves Revelation was written before AD 70. Jerusalem was destroyed in AD 70.

The teaching that says, “Revelation was written after AD 70″ doesn’t agree with Rev 11:2.

Rev 4:1 proves the truth that everything in Revelation hadn’t happened before Revelation was written, which means Revelation wasn’t written after the destruction of Jerusalem.

Rev 4:1  After these things I looked, and behold, a door {standing} open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like {the sound} of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”

Rev 11:1  A reed [as a measuring rod] was then given to me, [shaped] like a staff, and I was told: Rise up and measure the sanctuary of God and the altar [of incense], and [number] those who worship there.

Rev 11:2  But leave out of your measuring the court outside the sanctuary of God; omit that, for it is given over to the Nations, and they will trample the holy city [Jerusalem] underfoot for 42 months (three and one-half years).

Lk 21:6 & Lk 21:20 are talking about the destruction of Jerusalem. The “tribulation” that is spoken of in Matt 24:21 is the destruction of Jerusalem.

It took the Romans three and a half years to destroy Jerusalem.

Lk 21:6  As for all this that you [thoughtfully] look at, the time will come when there shall not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.

Lk 21:20  But when you [the disciples] see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know {and} understand that her desolation has come near.

Matt 24:21  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be

Matt 24:34  Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

The statement, “this generation will not pass until all these things take place” in Matt 24:34 is referring to the time period of the disciples, it is not referring to our time period, we are not that generation, we are not in the “last days”.

The truth is, Revelation was not written for this time period, Revelation was written to only seven churches in Asia that were alive during the time that Revelation was written (Rev 1:4 & Rev 1:11).

Rev 1:11 what you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

Everything that is written in Revelation was to happen quickly (Rev 1:1, Rev 22:10, Rev 22:12 & Rev 22:20).

Rev 1:1  The Revelation of Yeshua Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Rev 22:10  “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.”

Rev 22:12  “Behold, I [Christ] am coming quickly, and my reward {is} with me, to render to every man according to what he has done.”

Revelation was written before AD 70, that means that everything in Revelation has already happened.

Anyone that says Revelation is about this time period is adding to the book, Rev 22:18 is a warning to anyone that adds to the book.

Rev 22:18  I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book;

Rev 22:19  and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

Rev 22:20  He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Yeshua.
