God Makes Those Who Are Born From Above, Obey Him

Rom 3:10 proves God didn’t give man freewill to obey Him. Rom 3:10 As it is written, None is righteous, just & truthful & upright & conscientious, no, not one.

Romans chapter 6 makes it very clear that before a person is born of the Spirit (born from above), he or she is a slave to sin, that means that no one by freewill obeys God, the only way anyone can obey God is by being born of the Spirit.

A slave does not have a choice in whom he or she obeys, a slave is under the control of his or her master, those who are not born of the Spirit are under the control of the flesh, the flesh is what makes a person sin (Rom 7:17-20), & those who are born of the Spirit are under the control of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is what makes those who are born of the Spirit, obey God (phil 2:13).

Rom 7:17  So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

Rom 7:18  For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good {is} not.

Rom 7:19  For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.

Rom 7:20  But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

Adam, the first man (the natural man) was under the control of the flesh and that is what made him sin, Yeshua the Messiah, the second man (the born from above man) was under the control of the Holy Spirit and that is what made the Messiah obey God.

Both Adam & Yeshua were tempted by their own desires, but Adam was the only one whose flesh made him sin.

James 1:14  Every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed {and} baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).

James 1:15  Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.

Rom 5:12  Sin came into the world through one man [Adam], and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned.

It is the sin nature (the flesh) that everyone has inherited through Adam that makes everyone sin.

Freewill is being able to do good or evil, the New Testament makes it very clear that no one does good, therefore God didn’t give man freewill.

Rom 3:10-12 is talking about the natural man, the natural man is not born of the Spirit, Rom 3:10-12 makes it very clear that no one has the freewill to do good.

Rom 3:10  As it is written, None is righteous, just {and} truthful {and} upright {and} conscientious, no, not one.

Rom 3:11  No one understands [no one intelligently discerns {or} comprehends]; no one seeks out God.

Rom 3:12  All have turned aside; together they have gone wrong {and} have become unprofitable {and} worthless; no one does good, not even one!

Those who are born of the Spirit are slaves to God, therefore those who are born of the Spirit have no choice but to obey God, because it is God, by the Holy Spirit that lives in those who are born of the Spirit, that makes those who are born of the Spirit, obey God (Phil 2:13).

Rom 6:16  Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness (right doing and right standing with God)?

Rom 6:17  But thank God, though you were once slaves of sin, you have become obedient with all your heart to the standard of teaching in which you were instructed {and} to which you were committed.

Rom 6:18  And having been set free from sin, you have become the servants of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in thought, purpose, and action).

Rom 6:19  I am speaking in familiar human terms because of your natural limitations. For as you yielded your bodily members [and faculties] as servants to impurity and ever increasing lawlessness, so now yield your bodily members [and faculties] once for all as servants to righteousness (right being and doing) [which leads] to sanctification.

Rom 6:20   For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

Rom 6:21  But then what benefit (return) did you get from the things of which you are now ashamed? [None] for the end of those things is death.

Rom 6:22  But now since you have been set free from sin and have become the slaves of God, you have your present reward in holiness and its end is eternal life.

Rom 6:23  For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Yeshua Christ [the Messiah] our Lord.

Those who are born of the Spirit are slaves to God, therefore those who are born of the Spirit have no choice but to obey God, because it is God, by the Holy Spirit that lives in those who are born of the Spirit, that makes those who are born of the Spirit, obey God (Phil 2:13).

Phil 2:13  for it is God who is at work in you [who are born of the Spirit], both to will and to do of the good pleasure.

The “good pleasure” that is spoken about in Phil 2:13 is not to practice sin (1 Jn 3:9 & 1 Jn 5:18).

A Christian is a person that believes Yeshua is the Messiah that no longer practices sin, that is the Biblical definition of a Christian.

Those that believe Yeshua is the Messiah that practice sin are not Christian.

1 Jn 5:1  Whoever believes Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God [born of the Spirit].

1 Jn 3:9  No one born of God practices sin, because His seed [the Holy Spirit] abides in him or her; and he or she cannot sin, because he or she is born of God [born of the Spirit].

1 Jn 5:18  We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God [born of the Spirit] does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over {and} protects him [Christ’s divine presence within him preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one [the spirit of the natural man] does not lay hold (get a grip) on him {or} touch [him].

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say, “God gave man freewill”, but the Bible does not agree with that teaching.

A Christian is someone that is led by the Holy Spirit, no one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say, “God gave man freewill ”, because that does not agree with what the Bible says. No one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say something that does not agree with what the Bible says.

If someone claims to be Christian and says something that does not agree with the truth that is written in the Bible, the person is not led by the Holy Spirit, the person is led by the flesh, those who are led by the flesh are not the children of God.

Romans 8:13  For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.

Romans 8:14  For all who are led by the Spirit of God [the Holy Spirit] are the children of God.

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say it is ok for there to be different denominations in the church, that it is ok for a Christian to believe something different than what another Christian believes, but the Bible does not support different denominations in the church, 1 Corinthians 1:10 says that the church is supposed to believe the same thing.

1 Cor. 1:10  But I urge {and} entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that all of you be in perfect harmony {and} full agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissensions {or} factions {or} divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and in your opinions {and} judgments.
