God Determines The Steps Of Man

Prov 16:9 The mind of man plans his way, but God determines his steps. God has given everyone the freedom to plan, but God has not given anyone a choice in what he or she does.

The New Testament makes it very clear that everything that happens, has been predestined by God to happen, now if everything is predestined to happen, then there are no mistakes in life, there are no accidents, everything happens because it is supposed to happen.

God makes everyone do what they do, that’s what the Bible teaches, the Bible does not teach that everyone has a choice in what he or she does.

Eph 1:1  Paul, an apostle (special messenger) of Christ Yeshua (the Messiah), by the divine will (the purpose and the choice of God) to the saints (the consecrated, set-apart ones) at Ephesus who are also faithful {and} loyal {and} steadfast in Christ Yeshua:

Eph 1:2  May grace (God’s unmerited favor) and spiritual peace [which means peace with God and harmony, unity, and undisturbedness] be yours from God our Father and from the Lord Yeshua Christ.

Eph 1:3  May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us {in Christ} with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm!

Eph 1:4  Even as [in His love] He [God] chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, {even} above reproach, before Him in love.

Eph 1:5  For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Yeshua Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]–

Eph 1:6 [So that we might be] to the praise {and} the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved [Christ].

Eph 1:7  In him [Christ] we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through his blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches {and} the generosity of His [God’s] gracious favor,

Eph 1:8  Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence),

Eph 1:9  Making known to us the mystery (secret) of His [God’s] will (of His plan, of His purpose). [And it is this:] In accordance with His good pleasure (His merciful intention) which He had previously purposed {and} set forth in him [Christ],

Eph 1:10  [He planned] for the maturity of the times {and} the climax of the ages to unify all things {and} head them up {and} consummate them in Christ, [both] things in heaven and things on the earth.

Eph 1:11  In him [Christ] we also were made [God’s] heritage (portion) {and} we obtained an inheritance; for we had been foreordained (chosen and appointed beforehand) in accordance with His [God’s] purpose, Who works out everything in agreement with the counsel {and} design of His [own] will

Eph 1:12  So that we who first hoped in Christ [who first put our confidence in him have been destined and appointed to] live for the praise of His glory!

Eph 1:13  In him [Christ] you [the saints at Ephesus] also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in {and} adhered to {and} relied on him [Christ], were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit.

Eph 1:14  That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the firstfruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption {and} our acquiring [complete] possession of it–to the praise of His [God’s] glory.

Many people say only the Jews that believed in Christ were chosen by God, and the non Jews that believe in Christ are not chosen by God, they get that idea from what Paul says in Eph 1:12, but the New Testament makes it very clear that all those who are born of the Spirit, have been chosen by God.

Rom 8:29  For those whom God foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that he might become the firstborn among many brethren.

Rom 8:30  And those whom He [God] thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].

Rom 8:31  What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?]

Rom 8:32  He who did not withhold {or} spare [even] His own Son but gave him up for us all [who are born of the Spirit], will He [God] not also with him [Christ] freely {and} graciously give us all [other] things?

Rom 8:33  Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?]

2 Thess 2:13  But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

2 Thess 2:14  It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Yeshua Christ.

1 Pet 1:1  Peter, an apostle (a special messenger) of Yeshua Christ, [writing] to the elect exiles of the dispersion scattered (sowed) abroad in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

1 Pet 1:2  Who were chosen {and} foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified, made holy) by the Spirit to be obedient to Yeshua Christ (the Messiah) and to be sprinkled with [his] blood: May grace (spiritual blessing) and peace be given you in increasing abundance [that spiritual peace to be realized in and through Christ, freedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts].

Christ died only for God’s chosen people, Matt 1:21 makes that very clear.

Matt 1:21  She [Mary] will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Savior, for he will save his people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God].

God’s chosen people are the Savior’s people, they are the Savior’s people because he died for them, the Savior’s people are all the people that believe Yeshua is the Messiah that don’t practice sin. Those who believe Yeshua is the Messiah that don’t practice sin are born of the Spirit (born from above), a Christian is someone that is born from above.

1 Jn 5:1  Whoever believes Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God [born of the Spirit].

1 Jn 3:9  No one born of God practices sin, because His seed [the Holy Spirit] abides in him or her; and he or she cannot sin, because he or she is born of God [born of the Spirit].

1 Jn 5:18  We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God [born of the Spirit] does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over {and} protects him [Christ’s divine presence (the Holy Spirit) within him who is born of God preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one [the spirit of the natural man] does not lay hold (get a grip) on him {or} touch [him].

The New Testament makes it very clear that everything that happens, has been predestined by God to happen, now if everything is predestined to happen, then there are no mistakes in life, there are no accidents, everything happens because it is supposed to happen.

God makes everyone do what they do.

Proverbs 16:9  The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD determines his steps.

Jn 6:65  no one can come to me [Christ] unless it is granted him [unless he is enabled to do so] by the Father.

1 Timothy 6:3 – if anyone teaches otherwise and does not assent to the sound {and} wholesome messages of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah (Christ) and the teaching which is in agreement with godliness (piety toward God),

6:4 – He is puffed up with pride {and} stupefied with conceit, [although he is] woefully ignorant. He has a morbid fondness for controversy and disputes {and} strife about words, which result in (produce) envy {and} jealousy, quarrels {and} dissension, abuse {and} insults {and} slander, and base suspicions,

6:5 – And protracted wrangling {and} wearing discussion {and} perpetual friction among men who are corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth, who imagine that godliness {or} righteousness is a source of profit [a moneymaking business, a means of livelihood]. {From such withdraw.}

Romans 16:17 – I appeal to you, brethren, to be on your guard concerning those who create dissensions and difficulties {and} cause divisions, in opposition to the doctrine (the teaching) which you have been taught. [I warn you to turn aside from them, to] avoid them.

16:18 – For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites {and} base desires, and by ingratiating and flattering speech, they beguile the hearts of the unsuspecting {and} simpleminded [people].

2 John 1:9 – Anyone who runs on ahead [of God] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ [who is not content with what he taught] does not have God; but he who continues to live in the doctrine (teaching) of Christ [does have God], he has both the Father and the Son.

1:10 – If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine [is disloyal to what Yeshua the Messiah taught], do not receive him [do not accept him, do not welcome or admit him] into [your] house or bid him Godspeed {or} give him any encouragement.

1:11 – For he who wishes him success [who encourages him, wishing him Godspeed] is a partaker in his evil doings.

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say, “only the Jews that believed in Christ were God’s chosen people”, that teaching doesn’t agree with the Bible.

A Christian is someone that is led by the Holy Spirit, no one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say, “only the Jews that believed in Christ were God’s chosen people”, because that does not agree with what the Bible says. No one led by the Holy Spirit will ever say something that does not agree with what the Bible says.

If someone claims to be Christian and says something that does not agree with the truth that is written in the Bible, the person is not led by the Holy Spirit, the person is led by the flesh, those who are led by the flesh are not the children of God.

Romans 8:13  For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.

Romans 8:14  For all who are led by the Spirit of God [the Holy Spirit] are the children of God.

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say it is ok for there to be different denominations in the church, that it is ok for a Christian to believe something different than what another Christian believes, but the Bible does not support different denominations in the church, 1 Corinthians 1:10 says that the church is supposed to believe the same thing.

1 Cor. 1:10  But I urge {and} entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that all of you be in perfect harmony {and} full agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissensions {or} factions {or} divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and in your opinions {and} judgments.
