Revelation Was Written Before 70AD

The “tribulation” that is spoken of in Matthew 24 happened when Jerusalem was destroyed, Jerusalem was destroyed in 70AD. There is a verse in the book of Revelation that proves Revelation was written before 70AD, that verse is Revelation 7:14.

The book of Revelation was written to seven churches (seven groups of people) to warn them of what was to come, Revelation 22:10 tells the churches that the time is at hand, that means that everything in the book of Revelation happened during the time that the seven churches in Asia were alive, and that means that Revelation is not about this time period.

In the world today there are many people that claim to be Christian that say, “Revelation is about this time period”, but that can’t be true because Revelation was written to seven churches that were in Asia and no one else, those who say, “Revelation is about this time period” are adding to the book, Rev 22:18 is a warning to anyone that adds to the book.

Matthew 24:21 – For then there will be great tribulation (affliction, distress, and oppression) such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now–no, and never will be [again].

Revelation 1:4 – John to the seven assemblies (churches) that are in Asia:

Revelation 1:11 – Write promptly what you see (your vision) in a book and send it to the seven churches {which are in Asia}–to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.

Revelation 4:1 – AFTER THIS I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard addressing me like [the calling of] a war trumpet said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place in the future.

Revelation 7:14 – I replied, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who have come out of the great tribulation (persecution), and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Revelation 22:10 – Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book {and} make no secret of them, for the time when things are brought to a crisis {and} the period of their fulfillment is near.

Revelation 22:16- I, Yeshua, have sent my messenger (angel) to you to witness {and} to give you assurance of these things for the churches (assemblies).

The “churches” that the Messiah speaks of in Revelation 22:16 are the seven churches that the book is addressed to in Revelation 1:4 and Revelation 1:11.

Revelation 22:18 – I [personally solemnly] warn everyone who listens to the statements of the prophecy [the predictions and the consolations and admonitions pertaining to them] in this book: If anyone shall add anything to them, God will add {and} lay upon him the plagues (the afflictions and the calamities) that are recorded {and} described in this book.

Revelation 22:19 – And if anyone cancels {or} takes away from the statements of the book of this prophecy [these predictions relating to Christ’s kingdom and its speedy triumph, together with the consolations and admonitions or warnings pertaining to them], God will cancel {and} take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the city of holiness (purity and hallowedness), which are described {and} promised in this book.

Revelation 22:20 – He Who gives this warning {and} affirms {and} testifies to these things says, Yes (it is true). [Surely] I am coming quickly (swiftly, speedily). Amen (so let it be)! Yes, come, Lord Yeshua!

Here is a link to my post that will explain more about the “tribulation” that is spoken about in Matthew 24:21, and that will show why a Christian believes the tribulation has already happened https://bornfromabove7.wordpress.com/2014/09/11/a-christian-believes-the-tribulation-has-already-happened/

Colossians 1:23 says that the gospel was preached to every creature under heaven, which means that everything that the Messiah spoke of in Matthew 24 has already happened, here is a link to my post that will show why a Christian believes that the gospel has already been preachedĀ  https://bornfromabove7.wordpress.com/2014/09/12/a-christian-believes-the-gospel-has-already-been-preached/
