The Truth

Those who say you have to believe Christ (the Messiah) is God, to be born of God, don’t speak the truth, those who don’t speak the truth aren’t led by the Spirit.

John 20:31 These have been written that you may believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Son of God & by believing you may have life in His name

1 John 5:1 Whosoever believes Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God

1 John 3:9 – No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed [the Holy Spirit] abides in him or her; and he or she cannot sin, because he or she is born of God [born of the Spirit].

1 John 5:18 – We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God [born of the Spirit] does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over {and} protects him [Christ’s divine presence (the Holy Spirit) within him who is born of God preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one [the spirit of the natural man] does not lay hold (get a grip) on him {or} touch [him].

    • Hello Robert, I believe those who believe Yeshua is the Messiah that no longer practice sin are born of God, that is the biblical definition of a Christian.

The purpose of my post is to show people that no one has to believe Christ is God to be Christian, and that no one that is born of God (Christian) practices sin, I put Jn 20:31, 1 Jn 5:1, 1 Jn 3:9 & 1 Jn 5:18 together to show people what the New Testament’s definition of a Christian is, and to show people that the majority of people that claim to be Christian do not teach the New Testament’s definition of what a Christian is.

A Christian is someone that believes God’s Son, Yeshua is the Messiah that no longer practices sin.

Those who are born of God will not live in sin, those who don’t live in sin, do not practice sin. For example, If a person is truly born of God, he or she will not practice sex outside marriage, if a person claims to be born of God and doesn’t stop having sex outside of marriage, then the person is not born of God, the same with all the other things that are listed in 1 Cor. 6:9-10 & Gal 5:19-21, if anyone that claims to be Christian practices anything that is listed in 1 Cor. 6:9-10 & Gal 5:19-21, then the person is not born of God.

The New Testament makes it very clear that a Christian does not practice sin, if anyone that claims to be Christian practices any of the things that are listed in 1 Cor. 6:9-10 & Gal 5:19-21, they are not born of God (Christian).

1 Cor. 6:9 – do you [those who are born from above (Christian)] not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators [prostitutes, those who have sex outside of marriage], nor idolaters [an image worshiper], nor adulterers [a man that is guilty with a married woman, a man that lusts after (covets) another man’s wife (Matt 5:28)], nor effeminate [a man that submits his body to unnatural lewdness], nor homosexuals [any person engaging in same-gender sexual activity],

1 Cor. 6:10 – nor thieves [a thief in secret, rather than in the open with violence, an embezzler, a pilferer] nor {the} covetous [greedy of gain, a defrauder, trampling on the rights of others], nor drunkards, nor revilers [reproach (reviling) , injuring another’s reputation by denigrating, abusive insults] nor swindlers [a robber, an extortioner] will inherit the kingdom of God.

Gal. 5:19 – Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality [fornication, whoredom, surrendering of sexual purity, any (every) type of promiscuity, sex outside of marriage], impurity [in a moral sense, the impurity of lustful, luxurious, profligate living], sensuality [lewdness],

Gal. 5:20 – idolatry [image worship], sorcery [the practice of magical arts], enmities [hostility, hatred], strife [a contentious spirit, affection for dispute], jealousy [rivalry], outbursts of anger [anger that comes from the flesh, selfish anger], disputes [selfish rivalry, self seeking], dissensions [divisions which wrongly divide people into pointless factions], factions [a self-chosen opinion, a religious or philosophical sect, discord or contention].

Gal. 5:21 – envying [being glad when someone experiences misfortune or pain], murders [intentional unjustified homicide], drunkenness [deep drinking, intoxication] carousing [unbridled sexual immorality, debauched partying] and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Those who say, “you have to believe Christ is God to be Christian” do not speak the truth, those who claim to be Christian that do not speak the truth are either deceived or not born from above, the New Testament never says anyone has to believe Christ is God to be born of God, John 20:31 & 1 Jn 5:1 confirms that truth.

      Does that answer your question?

Robert, all who believe in Christ aren’t made alive in Christ, here is a link to my post that will explain more https://bornfromabove7.wordpress.com/2014/09/20/all-who-believe-in-christ-arent-made-alive-in-christ/
